The Australian Grand Prix was held at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit on 10 April 2022 and covered a distance of 58 laps of 5.278 km, giving a total distance of 306.124 km.
Sebastian Vettel of the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team started the race from 17th position in his AMR22 race car. In the third Grand Prix of the season and the first outing after his break due to illness, Vettel was forced to retire early after 22 laps.
