For Michael Schumacher, 1991 was the year of his big breakthrough in Formula 1. At just 22 years of age, the then German Formula 3 champion made it into the cockpit of the Jordan 191 from the 7UP Jordan Team and contested his first race at the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps.

This helmet was worn by Mich Schumacher during his first Formula 1 season in 1991. The paintwork combines the personal Michael Schumacher sponsor design with the colours of the German flag in black/red/gold.
It is a faithful replica in 1/2 scale from the manufacturer Schuberth, who also produces the current helmets of his son Mick Schumacher in addition to the helmets of Michael in his time.
